About this opportunity:

We are looking for a talented Business Development Representative to represent the company in Western Europe. This opportunity is perfect for motivated and creative individuals with experience selling end-user software solutions in the life science/chemistry research markets. As a Business Developer Representative, you will be working on new business opportunity generation in Western-European territories.

Location: Basel, Switzerland

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leverage prospecting tools to research companies and identify key decision makers at prospect accounts
  • Drive outbound prospecting activities (cold calling, emailing, etc)
  • Develop customized outreach pitch to target personas and secure an introductory call/meeting
  • Build pipeline for Account Executives, qualify incoming MQLs
  • Book meetings for Account Executives
  • Work in tandem with sales and marketing teams to create attendance strategy at trade shows, tech talks, follow up and qualification of leads collected at these events
  • Representing the company at targeted events

Skills & Experience:

  • Outbound calling experience
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce) and Linkedin Sales Navigator
  • Self-starter and persistent character
  • Networking skills, ability to engage with target audience
  • Ability to listen and carefully map the problems & buying motivations of the customers
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrated track record of hitting target quotas

Desirable:

  • Fluency in German and/or French is highly preferred
  • Scientific background is an advantage
