IT System Engineer

Location: Budapest, Graphisoft Park, Hungary

About the job: We are looking for an experienced IT System engineer full-time.

Start date: ASAP

Your tasks will be:

  • Design and maintain company intranet and internet infrastructure and services
  • Work closely with the developers, application scientist and occasionally clients
  • Prepare system documentation in English

Required skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Excellent Linux system administration skill (Ubuntu preferred)
  • Several years of experience with general system and network administration
  • Security-focused mindset
  • Good understanding of the followings:
    • Virtualization and container technologies (LXD, Docker, KVM)
    • Configuration management (Puppet preferred)
    • LDAP (freeipa)
    • Networking
    • Web servers, reverse proxying, SSL/TLS encrypted communication
    • Backup and monitoring strategies
    • Version control (git preferred)
  • Intent to automate tasks
  • Good command of English (written and spoken) is required
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting language (bash, python, perl…)

Extras that we would appreciate:

  • Security-related experiences
  • Oracle and/or PostgreSQL DBA skills
  • Experience with ZFS
  • Familiarity with public cloud providers (AWS, Google…)
  • Experience in build automation, continuous integration and delivery
  • Experience with build tools (Gradle, Maven …)
  • Experience with programming languages (mostly Java, Go...)
  • Atlassian stack knowledge
