About the position:

We are looking for a ChemAxon Extended Support Service (CHESS) Person.

We are looking for someone who can understand, process, organize our clients’ support needs and coordinate communication between ChemAxon and its clients in using our technology. You will also expand the support material for Design Hub and the JChem for Office suite for chemists and biologists by creating knowledge articles, documentation and video tutorials for end-users.

Your tasks will be:

Tier 0 and Tier 1 Support for Design Hub:

  • Be the point of contact with business (chemists), maintain the relationship with key users
  • Work with systems leads, support systems leads, track status
  • Support and train users in using our tools
  • Provide feedback to ChemAxon product teams on customer issues with the products, track their resolution to update the customers
  • Coordinate and plan trainings for specific needs
  • Coordinate and plan application tests for new software versions both with key users and with the system leads (in regards of integration of Marvin etc. in the systems)
  • Coordinate and plan evaluation
  • Create knowledge articles for first and second level support

Tier 0 support for JChem for Office suite

  • Create knowledge articles for first and second level support
  • Creating manuals, online help and video tutorials for a market-leading cheminformatics add-in for Microsoft Office products

Skills we are looking for:

  • Solid knowledge in chemistry
  • Good communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to produce clear, comprehensive, high standard, user‐friendly software documentation using Markdown and video tutorials
  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of our tools (mainly Marvin, JChem for Office, SQL Cartridges, Design Hub) is an advantage
  • German language skills are an advantage, but not required

Although we are a great believer that colocation supports collaboration and the flow of knowledge, we mostly work from home at the moment. The office - with all the necessary safety regulations & equipment - is still opened for those who prefer to work there.
