Marvin JS

Due to a constant need of distance learning programs, introduction of an e-learning platform and evolution of web technologies, the integration of new chemical drawing editor Marvin JS to systems and applications at UCT, Prague was started approximately 3 years ago. The main advantage of this chemical editor seems to be its simplicity and a fact that only standard modern web browser with JavaScript enabled is needed to start drawing even complex chemical structures. Immediately after the start, Marvin JS has become a very popular alternative to older editors, mainly based on Java technology. Marvin JS is currently integrated into several applications due to its capabilities and wide API is used by most of UCT Prague students.
