Demonstration of ChemAxon's Markush Technology
28 November 2012

Although Markush structures are widely used in chemical patents, their flexibility and complexity make them difficult to analyze. ChemAxon’s Markush technology makes handling Markush structures easier and more efficient. In this demonstration, we will start from a small number of exemplified structures, extracted from a patent via chemicalize.org, and expand the chemical space using the Markush technology. Various functionalities, including Markush sketching, automatic generation, enumeration, R-group decomposition, and searching, will be introduced in this presentation. The demo will also cover the collaboration between Thomson Reuters and ChemAxon on full patent database analysis.
