Data management

When you apply to a job on this site, the personal data contained in your application will be collected by as a controller, which is located at Váci út 133., Budapest, Hungary, 1138, and its affiliates (hereinafter “Chemaxon”) and can be contacted by emailing hr-team@chemaxon.com. Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of managing Chemaxon’s recruitment related activities, which include setting up and conducting interviews and tests for applicants, evaluating and assessing the results thereto, and as is otherwise needed in the recruitment and hiring processes. Such processing is legally permissible under Art. 6(1)(f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) as necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by Chemaxon, which are the solicitation, evaluation, and selection of applicants for employment.

 

 

The scope of managed data

CV and other related documentation typically include personal data as follows: name, address, phone number, email address, education, previous employers, qualifications, skills, references, earlier applications, salary expectations.

 

 

 

 

Period of data management

The data processing period is 730 days starting on the date of the decision concerning your application. You may claim to exercise your right to data erasure at any time by sending an email to hr-team@chemaxon.com. Please be informed that, a claim to exercise your right to data erasure does not consider or affect the legitimacy of the data management for the period before the execution of such right.

You can also extend the above period upon your request.

 

 

 

 

Addressees of personal data

 

The recorded personal data is accessible solely by those participating in the consideration of the applicants. We do not disclose personal data to third parties during the recruitment process except the recruitment company involved in your particular recruitment process, if applicable, and a data processor that operates our recruitment software as a hosted service on cloud.

 

 

Purpose of data management

Chemaxon will keep your personal data only for recruitment purposes and will contact you in case of matching your skills set for a suitable role.

 

 

 

 

Data processor
  • Data processing is carried out by Greenhouse Software, Inc. (a company whose registered office is at 18 West 18th Street, 11th Fl., New York, NY 10011 USA.), as a cloud services provider engaged by Chemaxon to help manage its recruitment and hiring process. Accordingly, if you are located outside of the United States, your personal data will be transferred to the United States and shared with Greenhouse Software Inc. once you submit it through this site. The data processor shall (i) comply with applicable law and regulations during processing any personal data; (ii) have the access to personal data only for as long as it is strictly necessary and to the extent of necessity in connection with the above mentioned legitimate interest; and (iii) not transfer personal data to third parties without ensuring to impose data protection terms on any of such third parties that protect the personal data, in substance, to the same standard provided by Greenhouse and ensure that all of such third parties process the personal data only as necessary for the above mentioned purpose of Chemaxon. Greenhouse Software Inc. ensures the protection of personal data by means of a model contract (standard contractual clauses) in the form approved by the EU Commission Decision 2021/914 of 4 June 2021.

 

  • Data processing is carried out by iCIMS, Inc. (a company whose registered office is at Bell Works
    101 Crawfords Corner Road Suite 3-100 Holmdel, NJ 07733), as a cloud services provider engaged by Chemaxon to help manage its recruitment and hiring process. Accordingly, if you are located outside of the United States, your personal data will be transferred to the United States and shared with iCIMS Software Inc. once you submit it through this site. The data processor shall (i) comply with applicable law and regulations during processing any personal data; (ii) have the access to personal data only for as long as it is strictly necessary and to the extent of necessity in connection with the above mentioned legitimate interest; and (iii) not transfer personal data to third parties without ensuring to impose data protection terms on any of such third parties that protect the personal data, in substance, to the same standard provided by iCIMS and ensure that all of such third parties process the personal data only as necessary for the above mentioned purpose of Chemaxon. iCIMS, Inc. ensures the protection of personal data by means of a model contract (standard contractual clauses) in the form approved by the EU Commission Decision 2021/914 of 4 June 2021.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your rights

 

You may ask Chemaxon at any time to:

  • provide information regarding the management of your personal data.

  • correct or complete your personal data.

  • hand over the available personal data we manage in electronic form to you or to another data controller or processor.

  • restrict the data management. In case of restriction, apart from keeping record, Chemaxon shall manage your personal data only with your consent or for the purpose of submitting, enforcing or defending legal claims, or protecting the rights of another individual.
