As chemical tools move towards the cloud, more and more browser based chemical editors are available on the market. The traditional technology for placing chemical objects on the clipboard is not available in a javascript based environment, and additional browser plugins might cause security risks. JChem for Office Lite provides a solution for this by auto-recognizing and converting the text-based chemical information into editable structure images during copy/paste action from any major chemical editors. The resulting image will remain editable even after copy/pasting it inside the online version of MS Office.
